A cliffhanger...? Yes, literally. On our last day in Sardinia, we drove out to this enormous park called Parco Naturale Regionale di Porto Conte. It is a beautiful, natural, and wild park, with lots of hiking trails, incredible vistas, Neptune's Grotto, and yes, sheer cliffs.....
Many of the hiking trails led to the un-guarded edge of rocky cliffs with steep drops straight to the sea....

| the many, many steps down to Neptune's Grotto... |
| A lighthouse on the cliff.... |
| A tight squeeze.... |
| A windy day.... |
We chose a hiking trail that we thought would be fairly quiet, and level. It was, and we were surprised that it took us once again to the edge of un-guarded cliffs....
| The "Warning...Danger" sign was laying on the ground.... |
We wondered if this was a prehistoric footprint....
It was an amazing park, and we were only able to explore a little of it. When our time in any destination ends before we see all there is to see, we always say.... "We'll be back". As our time in Sardinia comes to an end, and we prepare to fly to Rome, we say without a doubt... Sardinia, we'll be back!
