We had a tour and tasting at Cantine Florio three years ago, and since we enjoyed it so much, we decided to do it again. The Cantine is stunning....

Our English speaking guide from three years ago was Valentina, and we were very happy to see she was still there...
There were only five of us on the tour, the two of us and three women from Japan. One of the Japanese women was in the travel business, and spoke English and Italian. During the tasting at the end of the tour, she asked Valentina if she knew of a restaurant in Marsala where they could eat raw fish... and we asked if couscous with fish was available.... Valentina made a call to the chef in her favorite restaurant.... and the answer was Yes to both questions! The Japanese women had a driver.... Tony, of course.... so off we went to Le Lumie Ristorante....
Lunch was excellent, we enjoyed the conversation, and everyone enjoyed what they ate. Tony the driver ate with us, and he was nice enough to drive us back to our apartment after lunch. The whole "lunch with the Japanese women and Tony" was so spur-of-the-moment, we didn't get any photos.... oh well, we'll just have to trust our memories... Thanks Valentina, maybe we'll see you in three years, and who knows who we'll meet for lunch... !
